Making the Chain Strong: Tiler Mitchell

Indiana Code 20-8.1-3-18 states that, "Service as a page...constitutes a lawful excuse for a pupil to be absent from school." One of the Sons of Excellence, Tiler Mitchell, recently missed classes for that very reason. Tiler had the privileged of of serving State Senator Christina Hale.

Tiler said that he had a great time experiencing the House said he "appreciated that Ms. Hale's intern showed me the ropes while I was there."

Tindley Prep is proud of Mr. Mitchell and his accomplishments. Continue to make the chain strong sir!

Accelerated Sings with the Heart

Members of the Victory Association at Tindley Accelerated shake hands with Gov. Pence

Yesterday, our Tindley scholars in the Victory Association gospel choir  had an amazing opportunity to sing at Governor Mike Pence’s Black History Month Celebration. They performed in the rotunda of the State House and added music to the powerful presentations that were given.

I am extremely proud of not only their musical performance, but also their professionalism and behavior. They represented Tindley in such an amazing way. The link below is to a video with highlights of the event. Check out the video with pictures and clips of our amazing scholars!

Thanks for your support of the arts at Tindley!

Making the Chain Strong: Principal's List

The fine young men you see below in this post have done something special. They have done something extraordinary. These young men did something their own principal wasn't able to do until graduate school. They have stood on the shoulders of giants and were able to see far enough to look over obstacles that hindered some youth along the way. These young men earned their way onto the prestigious Principal's List. The Principal's List tag means these young men earned an A in every single class they had. They earned the highest grade in the most rigorous classes. These young men are telling us right now that they are ready for the rigors of college.

I salute these exceptional young people.
